Hi, thank you for visiting my page ! My name is Charis (pronounced Sha-riss), and I'm a British Abstract artist. 

I've always had a love for art, and studied it at school and university, but have rediscovered my passion as my children have grown up and now seem to need me less ! I'm at my happiest when totally immersed in my studio where I've been known to let hours and hours slip by without even noticing.

My inspiration comes largely from the incredible landscapes that I've been lucky enough to see on my travels around the world. Sunsets in the Rockies, sunrises in Japan, and most often the wild and varying weather off the West Coast of Scotland. Having spent a large part of my childhood on the Isle of Bute, I always come back to the rapidly changing colours of this incredible part of the world for my work.

I draw from my own life experiences and a deep appreciation for interior design, aiming to seamlessly blend bold and delicate tones with textured brushstrokes to create works that complement modern and classic spaces.

I hope that each piece evokes a vivid emotion in the onlooker, and I'm never happier than hearing about the wide variety of responses that arise. For me, a truly great piece is one that allows you to stir that personal feeling every time it is viewed. Like a power bank for the soul.
